Mr Stephen Marshall
Stephen is Fiji-born, educated in Sydney, Australia, joined CSR Ltd in 1964, qualified as an accountant and company secretary, joined Clinton and Co, stockbrokers, in 1970 and later headed to the Northern Territory for 17 years during which time he was general manager of Connellan Airways, the then largest private company in the Territory; he later established a successful tour company before relocating for family reasons to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland in 1989 as Business Manager, Immanuel Lutheran College. For the past 13 years, Stephen has been manager of the Buderim branch of Ord Minnett Ltd on the Sunshine Coast, a national financial planning and stockbroking firm. Stephen is married to Annette, and they have three adult children.
Whilst having attended Sunday school as a child, and an Anglican boarding school "with grace before and after every meal, three chapel services during the school week and twice on Sunday, and prayers every night before study" it was not until October 1977, that he came into a personal relationship with Jesus at an outreach tent meeting in the heart of Alice Springs, in the heart of Australia. Not long after this, and just before leaving to live in Darwin, Stephen read The Happiest People on Earth by Demos Shakarian, founder of Full Gospel Businessmens Fellowship International (FGBMFI), setting him on a path that saw him appointed President of a vibrant resurrected Darwin chapter for many years. Life has not all been a bed of roses since then but God has been gracious and lifted him from a real period of darkness in the early 90's and set his feet on higher ground. Ephesians 2: 8-10 is a focus and Philllipians 1: 6 always an encouragement.
Stephen is the President of the Sunshine Coast Christian Broadcasters Assoc Inc (105.5 Rhema FM) and a member of the boards of Nambour Assembly of God and Nambour Christian College.
