Village Ministry
Ramesh and Elma Madurai from Sydney, Australia have had a successful village Ministry for the past few weks in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. They ministered in remote tribal areas and villages organised by Lifebread India Mission under the leadership of Rev Elisha Muppurri. Ramesh and Elma are founding Board members of Lifebread International. Through their work in India, Lifebread has been joined by more Churches in Tamil Nadu. Lifebread's International Director, Ps Ray Moti, will visit the new Churches in March/April 2008.**********************************************************************************************
Lifebread's Chairman Mr Stephen Marshall, Deputy Chairman, Mr Peter West, and International Director, Ray Moti, will leave next month for a tour of India. They will inspect the various projects undertaken by the Mission and get first hand progress report on the work of the Ministry so far. While in India, they will also identify new projects following discussions with those involved with Lifebread in India.

Lifebread International Mission continues to expand. Not only has the number of Churches increased to 600 with Churches in India, Pakistan ,Bangladesh,Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, the Directors - Bishop Joseph Agutu in Kenya, Pastor Shakeel Anjum in Pakistan and Ps Elisha Muppuri in India - are all reporting a huge increase in the number of people being baptised in their respective regions. Lifebread needs more funds to support the Orphanages and the Homes for Widows being operated by these Ministries in Kenya, India and Pakistan. In total we have 500 children; 150 widows and 120 Pastors who are mainly in the rural areas and villages in these countries.
Lifebread Pakistan headed by Pastor Shakeel Anjum of the Children's Chapel in Youhanabad in Lahore has reported that more Churches have been planted in Sahibwala and Khanewal. The Ministry in Lahore has started the Lifebread Discipleship Training Centre. Lifebread's representative in Karachi is Pastor Qain Waseem, says he has 40 students in the Lifebread Discipleship Training Centre in Karachi.

Lifebread International's regular Sunday program on Radio Navtarang continues to be produced in Fiji by the Radio Nayajiwan team. Radio Nayajiwan will play host to Indian Gospel singer, Thomas Puthoor, whe he visits Fiji as guest of Lifebread International Mission in July this year. Mr Puthoor who has featured in many Gospel albums and Hindi Christian movies is currently based in Mombasa in Kenya but Mumbai in India is home to him.
